Southern Twang first became famous on the shores of Lake Jodeco, which is a short drive south of Atlanta, Georgia. The lake-side parties my Grandparent’s hosted during the 1950’s quickly developed the reputation for serving some of the best barbecue chicken around. In fact, it was not uncommon for folks to invite themselves to dinner. That was never a problem though, because their hospitality was almost as famous as the chicken itself.
During the next 50 years the family recipe found its way into Dad’s cookbook. He loved to make the famous barbecue chicken for family and friends. For many, the tantalizing smell of Southern Twang on the grill was too much to resist, and true to history, friends started inviting themselves back for dinner.
After much begging, pleading and even some indecent proposals, we’d like to open our cookbook to you. We are proud to present Southern Twang in honor of Dad.
